PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES FOR COMPOSITES

PULTRUSION

The composite production technology created by combining the glass fiber reinforcement material with a specific resin and pulling it from a hot mold is called Pultrusion.

Pultrusion is a continuous production method used to produce products with constant cross section.

Glass fiber fibers and glass fiber mat are wetted with resin and polymerized in the hot mold to form a solid material.

Pultrusion method is a method suitable for the production of industrial and electrical plates and profiles.

Although it was previously more common in the electrical and entertainment sectors, corrosion resistance has become widespread in construction with structural profiles, rebars and pipes, also this method adds value in the automotive and especially aerospace markets.

Key advantages;

  • As a result of the heavy axial reinforcement loading of the profiles, reaching a high stiffness value
  • Having high structural properties and being able to make large sized products.
  • Automation in production
