Cold Press Applications

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES FOR COMPOSITES

Cold Press Applications

Cold Press composite production technology is the method obtain forming under 2 to 6 kg pressure per square centimeter after combining the glass fiber reinforcement with the resin.

Good option in cases where production cannot be made with cold pressing RTM or SMC-BMC methods.

Key advantages

  • Products produced with cold press method can have a combination of 45% glass fiber 65% resin, they have higher strength than hand lay-up.
  • Both sides are shiny surface.
  • Stable thicknesses can be obtained according to the mold structure and helps to minimize the air trapped in the resin.

Cold Press products

The same as hot press, with the difference that reinforcement is placed in the mold dry and impregnated by hand, with brush and rollers.

Poliset composite products with cold press method;

Used in vehicle parts where high performance and surface quality is required.
